supervision

Supervisory Role
In my supervisory role I work with qualified and trainee therapists, and  other professionals who work in varying settings, such as counselling  agencies, private practice, university or college, and health care  settings. supervision

I  currently provide supervision within organizations that deal with  issues in the following areas; Domestic Violence, Sexual abuse, Rape,  Bereavement, Homelessness and Drug and Alcohol Addiction.

I  aim to make supervision an enjoyable, creative supportive and  collaborative experience  where we can openly discuss, without fear of  judgement,  any issues relating to your field of work. My aim is to  facilitate learning and insight using the supervisee's own experiences,  however I am happy to appropriately share my own if required. Initially I  would hope to determine with you, what your supervision needs are prior  to our commencing work together and we can continue to review our work  periodically to ensure we are working effectively.

I  use a process model of supervision which provides a basis for us being  able to discuss or explore  different areas of your therapeutic  practice. These areas include:
1. Focus on the client and how they present.
2. Exploration of the strategies and interventions used by the counsellor.
3. Exploration of the relationship between the client and the counsellor.
4. Focus on the counsellor.
5. Focus on the supervisory relationship.
6. The supervisor focusing on their own process.
7. Focus on the wider context in which the work happens.

My fees for supervision are shown are as shown see fees. I  am happy to use a sliding scale for students or agencies who require  concessionary rates. Sessions take place at The Inner Clarity Centre in  Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Please contact me for an informal chat to  discuss any supervision requirements you may have.
